New York City Mayor Bill DeBlasio is calling for calm and a temporary end to protests following the shooting deaths of two city police officers.
Some groups have already responded, saying they have a first amendment right to speak out, following the deaths of African Americans Michael Brown and Eric Garner at the hands of law enforcement, with at least one event going forward in New York (Tuesday, Dec. 23).
Mayor DeBlasio wants all to put their anger aside and resolve the issues, especially those tied to racism, peacefully.
