A French tourist has been kidnapped in Algeria by a militant group demanding France stop its air strikes against the so-called Islamic State in Iraq.
French foreign minister Laurent Fabius has confirmed an online video showing 55 year old Herve Gourdel being tortured is authentic and says his government is doing everything they can to bring him back.
