US: Egypt and UAE Strikes in Libya 'Exacerbate Divisions'

The US State Department has said it's concerned that air strikes carried out in Libya by the United Arab Emirates and Egypt may cause further unrest in the region.

Officials in Washington admit they were taken by surprise when the two nations secretly launched strikes against Islamist militias battling for control of Tripoli.
