British filmmaker Richard Attenborough has died at the age of 90.
The director and actor had been living in a care home with his wife for many years.
British Prime Minister David Cameron has paid tribute to Lord Attenborough calling him "one of the greats of Cinema"
His 1983 epic, Ghandi, was awarded 8 oscars, including Best Film and Best Director.
