Pres. Obama mulls military action in Syria

U. S.  President Barack Obama is considering using military force against the Islamic State in Syria.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights says fighters with the Islamic State have captured an airbase at Tabqa - while the British government says they are close to announcing the name of the militant who killed journalist James Foley.

The American president is completing his two-week holiday which has been interrupted by the deteriorating situation in Iraq.
