NATO Future Questioned Over Strait Defence

The future of NATO has been called into question by Donald Trump, if US allies fail to help reopen a key shipping lane in the Middle East.

Iran has effectively closed the Strait of Hormuz - a crucial route for global supplies of oil and gas.

The US President says "its only appropriate the beneficiaries of the Strait help to make sure nothing bad happens there."

But Dr John Strawson, a law professor specialising in the Middle East, says Donald Trump's exact plan isn't clear…

US-China continue talks in Paris ahead of expected Trump-Xi summit

The United States and China are resuming bilateral talks on Monday after a first day of face-to-face meetings in Paris.

The two sides are discussing economic issues and the expected summit in China at the end of the month between Donald Trump and Xi Jinping.

Tehran denies seeking U.S. ceasefire after Trump says Iran was “decimated”

President Trump tells China, the UK and others to send ships to Strait of Hormuz

Hegseth says "don't worry" about Strait of Hormuz
