MSF tells UN Security Council "Attacks on healthcare is an attack against humanity,”

The Secretary General of Médecins Sans Frontières, Christopher
Lockyear has told the UN Security Council that the medical situation
in Gaza "appalled" by the United States' repeated use of its veto
power.
This week an MSF facility in Khan Younis was bombed, six people were
wounded and two relatives of staff were killed.
Lockyear said that the constant attacks on healthcare facilities is an
"attack against humanity,"

Victims Of The Post Office Horizon Scandal To Be Exonerated By New Law

Victims of the Post Office Horizon scandal will be exonerated by a new law, according to the UK government.

The scandal saw almost a thousand post office employees wrongly prosecuted as a result of faults in a computer system. 


The government says it will aim to clear their names by July.

US spacecraft to attempt moon landing

A US spacecraft will attempt to land on the moon later on Thursday.


The robot lander, dubbed Odysseus, is expected to touchdown at around 5:30pm Eastern Standard Time.


This will be the first time America has landed on the lunar surface in more than half a century.

Customers experience massive cellphone outage across the US

Thousands of cellphone users in the US were unable to make calls, send
text messages or access the internet on Thursday,
as AT&T's network went down.
Users on other US networks also experienced outages but it appeared
far less widespread.

GERMAN LAWMAKERS VOTE AGAINST LONG RANGE MISSILES FOR UKRAINE

The German Parliament has rejected calls to hand over a long range missile system to Ukraine, despite growing pressure from Kyiv.

Foreign ministers from G20 nations are discussing reforms to the United Nations and other institutions on the second and final day of meetings in Brazil.

Speaker of UK Commons under pressure to step down

The speaker of the UK House of Commons is under growing pressure to step down.


Sir Lindsay Hoyle is expected to meet with party leaders today - after a debate on a ceasefire in Gaza descended into chaos.


He's apologised for breaking long standing parliamentary convention which prompted fury among some MPs and led to many walking out of the commons.


Sir Lindsay allowed an amendment by the opposition Labour party to a proposal put forward by another opposition party - the SNP. 


The speaker is supposed to keep order in the commons and remain politically impartial - but the decision was seen to benefit his old Labour party, and avoid a potentially embarrassing mutiny by Labour MPs.


More than 50 MPs have signed a motion of no confidence in Sir Lindsay.

Far-right ministers demand further restrictions on Palestinians after shooting attack

One person is dead and at least a dozen others are wounded after a shooting attack on a main road outside a settlement in the West Bank on Thursday morning.

Police say three Palestinian men armed with automatic weapons opened fire on cars waiting in traffic, with security forces shooting two offenders dead at the scene, arresting the other shortly after.

Indian farmers pause march to Delhi after protester’s death

The Indian government has once again reached out to farmers for talks after they called off a planned protest march to New Delhi for two days.

US Authorities Charge Japanese Crime Boss Over Nuclear Materials Trafficking Plot

US authorities have charged a suspected Japanese crime leader with conspiring to traffic nuclear materials from Myanmar that could have been used by Iran to build a nuclear bomb.

Tekeshi Ebisawa is currently being held in a Brooklyn jail. He is also facing international drug and firearm trafficking charges.

Fears mount over further regional spillover in the Middle East
