US Congress tries to reach deal on Ukraine/Israel aid package before year ends

Lawmakers in the United States are continuing to hash out a funding package aimed at providing aid to Ukraine and reforming American immigration policy.


But with a three-week recess looming, the hopes of Congress reaching a deal by the end of the year remain in the balance, as Benji Hyer reports.

Orban remains defiant after EU summit

HARRY WINS HACKING CASE

Britain's Prince Harry has won a court case over phone hacking and been awarded damages.

The High Court in London has ruled a series of articles about him between 2003 and 2009 were the result of phone hacking and other unlawful information gathering.

Mirror Group Newspapers will have to pay him £140,600 in damages.

Indian court allows survey of centuries old mosque

Muslim petitions say they will challenge a court order that allowed officials to survey a 17th century mosque to check for the presence of Hindu relics.

Man charged over US synagogue president killing
