22 dead as tourist boat capsizes in south India

At least 22 people have died, including seven children, after a tourist double-decker boat capsized in the south Indian state of Kerala.

Petitioners seek probe into violence in India's Manipur

Biden calls on Congress to pass gun reforms following Texas mass shooting

US President Joe Biden has once again called on Congress to pass gun reforms following a shooting at a Texas shopping mall.

Authorities say the suspected gunman killed 8 people, injured 7 others, and then was himself killed by an officer who had been dispatched to the area on a different call.

WHO declares the end of the COVID-19 pandemic

The World Health Organisation has declared COVID-19 no longer a global health emergency, but warns now is not the time to drop our collective guards.

WHO's International Health Regulations Emergency Committee discussed the pandemic on Thursday at its 15th meeting on the health response to COVID 19.
