Police in Germany have made dozens of arrests as part of a Europe-wide sting on suspected Italian mafia figures. 

Investigators say the suspects stand accused of smuggling drugs, money laundering, criminal tax evasion and fraud.

India's budget airline GoFirst files for bankruptcy

UK: FINAL SUDAN RESCUE FLIGHTS ON WEDNESDAY

An additional two British rescue flights from Sudan on Wednesday will be the last - according to the UK government.

It was previously thought the evacuation had ended on Tuesday when RAF aircraft left Port Sudan for Cyprus.

China's Foreign Minister Vows Support for Myanmar

China's foreign minister has vowed support for Myanmar and pledged cooperation in its development during his visit to the country.

UN: 800,000 may flee Sudan amid conflict

The United Nations is warning 800,000 people may flee Sudan as a
result of the conflict.

At least 100,000 have already left, finding refuge in neighboring
countries, according to the UN refugee agency.

US debt crisis: President Biden to meet Congressional leader as deadline looms

President Joe Biden will meet with House of Representatives Speaker Kevin McCarthy next week as the two men look to strike a deal on the country's impending debt ceiling crisis. 

The meeting was confirmed just hours after Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen warned the US could reach its borrowing limit as soon as June 1st, following months of special measures to keep paying the nation's bills.
