Hollywood writers go on strike

Thousands of Hollywood writers have walked out after last-minute talks over pay broke down.

The Writers Guild of America had been in negotiations with major studios including Walt Disney and Netflix.

It's the first strike of its kind in 15 years.

DUST STORM LEAVES SEVERAL DEAD

More than 70 cars were involved in a pile up leaving more than six
people dead and dozens injured after a rare dust storm in Illinois.

Bankruptcy looms for Vice Media

French unions have agreed to hold a 14th major day of protests and strikes against President Macron and the contentious pension reforms next month.

The announcement of the new demonstration comes after more than 500 people were arrested and more than 400 police officers injured in huge May Day protests across the country.

Egypt Finally Opens Border to Nigerian Evacuees From Sudan

Uganda's Labor Minister Shot Dead By Bodyguard

US to end Covid vaccine border rule for international travellers

The United States is scrapping its requirement for international travellers to prove they're vaccinated against Covid-19 in order to enter the country.
