Suspected Lockerbie bomb-maker pleads not guilty

The man accused of building the bomb that downed a passenger plane over the Scottish town of Lockerbie in 1988 - killing 270 people - has pleaded not guilty to three charges in federal court. 


Abu Agila Mohammad Mas'ud is charged with two counts of destruction of an aircraft resulting in death and another related count.


He appeared in court in Washington on Wednesday as Kate Fisher reports.

Uber reports record revenue

Uber has reported record revenue for last year, avoiding the slowdown that has plagued many tech companies.

The ride sharing firm said it made more than two billion trips in the final quarter of twenty twenty two, the most in its history.

UK COMPETITIONS WATCHDOG RAISES CONCERNS OVER MICROSOFT GAMING DEAL

The UK's Competitions and Market Authority says a proposed deal by Microsoft to buy a prominent games developer could lead British gamers to be subjected to higher prices and fewer choices. U.N hoping to get additional aid into Syria by Thursday

MH17 INVESTIGATION OUT OF LEADS AFTER THREE CONVICTED

An international investigation as to how a passenger plane was shot down over Ukraine in 2014 has concluded there are no more leads to follow — and that there's insufficient evidence to launch any new prosecutions.

The Dutch court leading the investigation has already convicted two Russians and a Ukrainian rebel for shooting down flight MH17, killing all 298 people on board.

Until further evidence is found though, it's suspending the years-long investigation.

China Refused Pentagon Call After Balloon Shootdown

Japanese robbery masterminds arrested

Two men have been arrested by Japanese police on suspicion of orchestrating a series of robberies from the Philippines. 

They were deported from Manila  and arrested by police while aboard a flight to Tokyo on Tuesday.

US trade deficit widened in 2022

New figures show the United States imported a record level of foreign goods in 2022.


The US trade deficit - the gap between what the country imports and exports - rose 12.2 percent last year.

U.N makes available $25 million grant for aid to Syria and Türkiye

The U.N has requested everyone to put politics aside in Syria and
allow humanitarian aid to flow into Syria.
Parts of Syria and Türkiye were hit by a 7.8 magnitude earthquake on
