Railway workers in the United Kingdom are refusing to work in an ongoing dispute over pay, conditions and lay-offs.
Just one in five trains are expected to run on Friday and Saturday, disrupting work and social plans.
This is the latest in a series of planned strikes in the run-up to Christmas, with nurses, postal workers and Border Force staff among those taking part.
