Kenya Court upholds Ruto Win

The supreme court of Kenya has upheld the victory of William Samoei Ruto as the president of the country following August polls.

His victory was contested in court by his competitor – former prime minister of the country Raila Odinga .

EU's Borrell "less optimistic" about speedy revival of Iran Nuclear Deal

The European Union's foreign affairs chief Josep Borrell says he's less optimistic about reviving the Iran nuclear deal than he was just a day or two ago.


Brussels mediates indirect negotiations between Tehran & Washington on the 2015 accord, which secured sanctions relief for Iran in exchange for curbs on its nuclear programme.


The deal has been in tatters since 2018 when the US withdrew. Tehran has since ramped up its nuclear activities.

Burkina Faso military ruler commends talks with jihadists

EU's expectations of the UK have "not changed one iota" amid Tory leadership contest

The European Commission's chief spokesperson says Brussels' expectations of the United Kingdom remain unchanged as Britain's Conservative Party chooses its new leader. 


Eric Mamer spoke to reporters in Brussels ahead of the announcement in London on Monday.

UN nuclear team to remain at Ukraine plant

Two UN inspectors will remain at Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia nuclear power
plant on a permanent basis.

A team from the International Atomic Energy Agency is visiting the

Ex NYPD cop gets longest sentence yet for Jan 6 attack
