New York court to rule on elephant's rights

New York's top court is considering whether an elephant at the Bronx Zoo should be released because of a complaint that she is being held illegally.

The case is part of an effort by animal rights activists to expand the legal rights of animals.

Russia expels diplomats from Spain and Italy

Russia has expelled over 50 European diplomats in what's being described as a tit-for-tat move.

DRC REACTS TO UPDF PLANNED WITHDRAWAL

Authorities in the Democratic Republic of Congo have said it is premature to discuss the withdrawal of Ugandan troops battling an Islamist militia in the east of the country.

Nigerian Govt. Tasks Facebook Against Hate Posts By Separatist Group, IPOB
