Bank of Japan’s 2% inflation target in sight but monetary policy unchanged

Some policymakers at the Bank of Japan see inflation approaching a 2% target, according to a summary of the bank's January meeting.


But despite consumer prices creeping up in the country, policymakers cautioned against exiting crisis-mode stimulus.

Hong Kong sets COVID-19 vaccination target for schools

Paralympian named Australian of the Year

US seeks oil & gas suppliers in case Russia stops supplies

Biden Administration expected to brief House & Senate leadership aides on Ukraine/Russia

IMF cuts global growth forecast as US & China struggle

The International Monetary Fund has downgraded its global growth
forecast as the world continues to see rising Covid-19 cases.
