EU seeks large fine from AstraZeneca over vaccine contract breaches

A lawyer for the European Union has accused AstraZeneca of failing to respect its contract with the bloc on the supply of Covid-19 vaccines. 

During a court hearing in Brussels, the EU asked judges to impose a large fine on the pharmaceutical company for failing to uphold its contract.

Explosive coronavirus claims from former UK govt aide

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson's former chief adviser has accused the British government of acting too late when tackling Covid-19. 


Dominic Cummings, who's been facing questions from MPs about mistakes made during the coronavirus pandemic, claimed there was "no sense of urgency" during the initial outbreak.


He's also called for the Health Secretary Matt Hancock to be fired for lying.

Belarusian president defends plane diversion

Reports: Grand Jury convened to consider criminal case against Trump

Prosecutors in New York have convened a grand jury to decide whether there is sufficient evidence to prosecute former President Donald Trump or members of his inner circle.

Biden-Putin summit confirmed for Geneva, June 16
