DRC-UGANDA ICJ CASE

UK NAVY BOATS PATROL OFF JERSEY

he UK has sent two Royal Navy boats to protect Jersey in the Channel Islands from a French blockade.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson says Jersey has his "unwavering support" in the face of a threatened blockade by French boats.

French fishermen claim their rights are being unfairly restricted - and France has warned it could cut electricity to Jersey in response.

Jersey is a self-governing dependency of the UK, in the Channel Islands between Britain and France.

Australia – Covid flight ban to be challenged in court

An Australian man, stranded in India since March last year, has lodged a challenge in the Federal Court against the validity of the governments decision to ban travel home from India.


The travel restrictions mean anyone travelling home to Australia from India, could face up to five year in prison and fines of up to $66,000.

Hong Kong activist Joshua Wong sentenced to more jail time

Hong Kong democracy activist Joshua Wong has been sentenced to more time in prison, for defying a police ban on a vigil to commemorate the crackdown on the 1989 Tiananmen Square protests. He's already behind bars for his roles in two other anti-government protests in 2019.

Biden Touts Restaurant Recovery Program

Facebook continues Trump ban on site
