US President Joe Biden is scheduled to make his first primetime
address to mark one year since American businesses and schools closed
due to Covid-19.

It comes a day after Congress passed his $1.9 trillion relief package.

UK PM Boris Johnson "deeply saddened" by body discovery in missing woman case

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson says he's "shocked and deeply saddened" by news that police searching for a missing woman have discovered human remains in south-east England.

Denmark suspends use of Astrazeneca vaccine

Denmark has suspended the use of the Astrazeneca vaccine after several reports some patients became sick following the jab. 

The country's health agency said it was a precautionary measure to give them time to gather more information.

EU extends export controls until the end of June

The European Union will extend export controls on coronavirus vaccines until the end of June. 

The scheme allows customs agencies to block vaccine exports to some 100 countries worldwide, unless they are authorised by national governments.

China's NPC Approves Overhaul of HK Election System

Court challenge begins against bail for democracy activists

UN chief calls for end to Syria war as conflict approaches 10 years
