Biden to tour US promoting $1.9 trillion Covid relief bill (wrap)

US President Joe Biden is set to hit the road to promote the new coronavirus relief package after he signs it into law on Friday.


Starting on Tuesday the president is expected to criss-cross the U.S. to inform the nation about the nearly two-trillion-dollar stimulus bill that just passed Congress.

Washington and Beijing to Hold First High-Level Face-to-Face

Court challenge begins against bail for democracy activists

Court proceedings are underway in Hong Kong to challenge the granting of bail to 11 democracy activists who are facing charges under the city's controversial national security law. UN chief calls for end to Syria war as conflict approaches 10 years

As Syria's war approaches its 10-year mark, the UN Secretary-General is calling for a political solution to end the suffering of the Syrian people. 


The UN estimates that more than 12 million Syrians have been displaced or forced to flee the country.

EU-Britain war of words intensifies amid vaccine export row
