Health Experts are worried Ghana may have new COVID-19 variant


As a new variant of coronavirus spreading in South Africa is now being seen in other countries, Ghana says it has not recorded any case of the new COVID-19 variant as yet. But some Public Health experts say there is a high probability that Ghana already has the new Covid-19 variant within its borders. They want the government to step up safety measures to curtail a spread of the new variant of the coronavirus.

EU authorises Moderna shot for use

Dozens arrested in Hong Kong over election primaries

Hong Kong police have arrested around 50 democracy activists and former opposition lawmakers for subversion, for their roles in holding pre-election primaries last year. 

It's the largest mass arrest under the national security law, since the legislation was introduced in June.

Razor thin margins in Georgia races as polls close

Polls have closed in Georgia's crucial senate runoff elections which will determine the balance of power in the United States Senate.

No Charges for Officers in Jacob Blake Shooting

 

The District Attorney will not bring charges against any of the police officers involved in the shooting of Jacob Blake in Kenosha, Wisconsin last August. 

Blake is a Black man, and the officer who shot him is White. 

The city is bracing for protests and possible violence, which erupted after the shooting.

Proud Boys leader ordered out of Washington ahead of Trump rally
