Thousands of pro-Trump supporters gather for DC protests
ahead of a day of demonstrations against the election result.
The protests are to coincide with the meeting of Congress to rubber
stamp Joe Biden's win - something more than a hundred Republican
lawmakers are promising to contest.

New York reports first case of highly contagious Covid-19 strain
