AFRICA TO CONDUCT COVID-19 CLINICAL TRIALS

Thirteen African countries are set to conduct the largest clinical trials for COVID-19 treatment on the continent.

African scientists say they want to curb the spike in COVID-19 cases.

The continent has so far registered over two million cases and forty nine thousand deaths.

DRC REBELS CHARGED IN COURT

A military court in the Democratic Republic of Congo has sentenced 9 rebels to life in prison for killing civilians in the Northeastern part of the country.

ENGLAND TO FIND OUT REGIONAL COVID TIERS

Regions of England will find out later what covid-19 tiers they'll be placed into when national lockdown ends on December 2nd.

Swathes of the country will be placed into Tier 3 restrictions, which include bars and restaurants being closed except for takeaway.

Tier 2 measures are less stringent but also ban the mixing of households indoors.

London Mayor Sadiq Khan says he expects the capital to be placed in Tier 2.

Uganda Imports Bengal Tigers From South Africa

Uganda has imported a pair of Tigers after six decades to boost wildlife at it's only zoo in Entebbe.

Nigeria records lowest terrorism violence in eight years



Nigeria has recorded its lowest violence caused by terrorism in eight years. This is according to the latest report by the Global Terrorism Index.

However, Nigeria remained third in global ranking as the country with the worst impact from terrorism.

UN: Covid-19 worsening poverty and violence against women
