Sinopharm: Close to 1 Million Vaccinated in China

Nearly a million people in China have been administered an experimental coronavirus vaccine candidate under the country's emergency use programme.

That's according to Sinopharm's chairman, who added that there has not been a single case of a serious adverse event.

Pence: the Trump administration doesn’t support a national lockdown or shutting schools

US Vice President Mike Pence says the Trump administration does not support a national lockdown or closing schools to combat the pandemic.

High-level Brexit negotiations suspended after Covid-19 infection

Face-to-face talks between Michel Barnier and Lord Frost have been suspended after a member of Mr Barnier's team tested positive for the coronavirus.

US unemployment claims increase

The number of people applying for unemployment benefits in the US has risen sharply.


More than 743,000 workers filed new claims for state benefits last week, before adjusting for seasonal factors, that's an increase of 18,000 from the week before.

Many Killed in Uganda Protests

UK PM announces biggest boost to military spending in 30 years

Trump administration blocked from expelling unaccompanied migrant minors

The Trump administration has been blocked from deporting asylum-seeking minors who arrive in the United States without a guardian.


A federal judge ruled that border agents can no longer use a COVID-19 order to expel migrant children.
