US commits support to Iraq in IS fight

The United States has recommitted its support of Iraq in its fight
against the Islamic State following a meeting between the two
countries.

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo met the Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein.

US suspends extradition and tax agreements with Hong Kong

Antibody study shows a third of New Yorkers in the Bronx have Covid-19 antibodies

One third of people living in New York's borough of the Bronx have

EU leaders agree to impose sanctions on Belarus regime and support transition to democracy

EU leaders have agreed to impose sanctions on a "substantial number" of Belarus officials, accused of election fraud and violence against protestors.

Mali Coup: President forced to resign, ECOWAS, others call for sanctions



Mali's President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita has been forced to resign after being arrested by troops in a sudden coup that followed several months of anti-government protests in the West African nation.

There's been condemnations from various international bodies including the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) calling for the reinstatement of the ousted president.

EU leaders meet via video link to discuss Belarus crisis

HEATHROW UNVEILS TESTING SCHEME TO SHORTEN QUARANTINE

London's Heathrow Airport has unveiled a new testing facility it hopes will help remove mandatory quarantine for international arrivals from countries deemed at-risk due to high covid-19 infection rates.

Uganda to Reintroduce Rhinos Back to the Wild

In Uganda, there's renewed hope of reintroducing Rhinos back into the wild following increasing numbers of the near-threatened species in the country.

UK CONSIDERS TESTING SCHEME TO CUT QUARANTINE FOR ARRIVALS

UK officials are looking at new ways of testing international arrivals to cut down the length of time some people are required to enter quarantine for.

Ministers are considering options including testing passengers on arrival, and then again between five and ten days later.

Currently, arrivals from at-risk countries have to self-isolate for 14 days.

Health Secretary Matt Hancock says the government is also cooperating with Heathrow Airport on an airside testing centre.

The exiled opposition leader of Belarus, Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, has appealed to European leaders not to recognise the result of the country's presidential election.
