The UK is offering the European Union fresh proposals to try and break the Brexit deadlock.

Negotiators are trying to formalize a deal before October 19th, when EU leaders meet for the two-day EU summit in Brussels.

England Football Association condemns Bulgarian fans following racist abuse

The English Football Association Chairman says the Euro 2020 qualifier versus Bulgaria was "one of the most appalling nights" he's ever seen in football. 

 

Greg Clarke was at the game and witnessed racist abuse towards English players from Bulgarian fans in the stands, forcing the match to be halted twice.

Nigerian police rescue 67 from inhuman conditions at Islamic 'school'

Two French women convicted of failed terror attack on Notre Dame

BARNIER: BREXIT DEAL POSSIBLE

The EU's chief Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier says it is still possible to reach a deal with the UK ahead of a crucial summit on Thursday.

It's reported the UK is presenting a new text containing latest proposals to the EU.

Talks between the two sides continue in Brussels.

The EU is understood to be considering another emergency summit next week if progress is being made towards a deal but not quickly enough to reach agreement by the end of Wednesday.

Britain is due to leave the EU on October 31st.

Trump sanctions Turkey; defends decision to withdraw US troops from Syria

AU Condemns Attack on AMISOM

The African Union has condemned the attack on an African Union Mission (AMSIOM) Base Camp in Mogadishu.

 

Islamic Militants the al-Shabaab fired several mortar bombs into the Halane base camp, which houses AMISOM, UN, and other international agencies in Somalia.
