There have been angry exchanges in the UK's Parliament after its suspension by the government was ruled unlawful.

Lawmakers returned to work on Wednesday after a ruling in the Supreme Court on Tuesday.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson had insisted his government was proroguing Parliament to set up a new legislative agenda.

But opponents said it was to avoid scrutiny of his Brexit plans.

Attorney General Geoffrey Cox has lambasted the Commons for refusing to pass a Brexit deal or agree to an election.

Thomas Cook holidaymakers now able to leave Cuba

Possessing and growing cannabis for personal use will be legal in Australia's capital Canberra next year.
