Dem-controlled House votes against Trump-impeachment resolution

The Democrat-controlled House of Representatives voted down a bid to introduce articles of impeachment against President Trump on Wednesday

The vote, which was 332 to 95, shows the ongoing divisions within the democratic party over how the congressional measure should be handled

Mexican drug lord 'El Chapo' sentenced to life in US prison

Mexican drug lord Joaquin 'El Chapo' Guzman has been sentenced to life in prison. 


El Chapo was extradited to the US in 2017 and is accused of smuggling hundreds of tons of drugs into the US. 


The former head of the Sinaloa cartel has escaped prison twice but he's now expected to be sent to a supermax facility in the US.

ICJ to pronounce verdict on Indian 'spy'

The International Court of Justice will on Wednesday decide whether or not the death sentence awarded to an Indian national by Pakistan can be upheld.
