UK Political Leaders go head-to-head over racism accusations

The issue of racism within UK politics has been a key part of Prime Minister's Questions on Wednesday.


The opposition Labour Party has been accused of institutional racism and anti semitism, while its leader Jeremy Corbyn, accused the incumbent Conservative party of not dealing with islamophobia within its ranks.


Mr Corbyn defended his party against accusations that it does not deal with racism.

NAZANIN MOVED TO PSYCHIATRIC WARD IN IRAN

A British-Iranian woman jailed in Iran on spying charges has been moved to a psychiatric ward.

Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe was jailed in 2016 for spying, which she has always denied.

Her husband says the Iranian Revolutionary Guard are holding her in a Tehran hospital.

She went on a hunger strike last month to protest against her imprisonment.

Scientists emerge from space isolation experiement


Six scientists will emerge from a four-month isolation experiment on Wednesday as part of research into how humans respond to long-distance space travel.

ICJ to pronounce verdict on Indian 'spy'

The International Court of Justice will on Wednesday decide whether or not the death sentence awarded to an Indian national by Pakistan can be upheld. 

The Indian national was arrested by Pakistan in 2016 and sentenced to death on allegations of espionage- a charge New Delhi denies. This case has stoked tensions between the two nuclear armed rivals.
