TORY CANDIDATES BID FOR VOTES

Candidates to lead the UK's Conservative Party and therefore also be Prime Minister are trying to win support from rivals who're leaving the race.

Three contenders were knocked out in a vote on Wednesday and more may drop out in the coming days.

After further ballots next week - a final two will be put to the party's membership.

Former Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson's cemented his position as favourite after comfortably winning Wednesday's voting.

Home Secretary Sajid Javid was some way behind but says he can now win backers from those candidates no longer in contention.

US Video Appears to Show Iranian Guards Swiping Unexploded Mine of Ship

The U.S. military has released a video suggesting that an elite branch of Iran's military removed an exploded mine from the hull of a ship that they had earlier attacked.

Trump announces departure of his lying press secretary, Sarah Sanders

She'll return to her home state of Arkansas where the President says he hopes she runs for election.

US says intelligence proves Iran attacked oil tankers in Gulf of Oman

UN chief warns against confrontation over Gulf tankers incident
