Danish Centre-Left Wins Election

The centre-left looks to take power in Denmark after Wednesday's election was a huge blow to the country's far right.


Support for the Danish People's Party was halved and fell to just ten percent.

World Leaders gather in Normandy for D-Day commemoration

Verdict expected for German serial killer nurse

A German judge is expected to hand down a verdict Thursday in the case of a nurse accused of more than a hundred murders of his patients by lethal injection, many of which he's already admitted.


The victims' families have asked the court to prevent him the 42 year old man ever being considered for an early release from prison.

Mexico prepares for make-or-break tariff meeting

Indian mission to retrieve bodies of climbers aborted

In India, efforts are on to retrieve the bodies of five climbers believed to have been killed in an avalanche in the Himalayas last week. 


This has been one of the deadliest climbing seasons in the Himalayas. More than 20 people have been killed in the mountains, including 11 on Mount Everest, the world's highest peak.

Uganda Landslide

SUDAN ATTACK DEATH TOLL INCREASES

Danes vote in national election

Polls are open in Denmark [until 18GMT] with the center-left social democrats predicted to return to power after taking a harder line on immigration in the run up to the vote.
