No agreement yet as US-Mexico officials meet ahead of looming Trump tariffs

Sudan Death-toll Rises after Military Crackdown

Leader of religious organisation, La Luz del Mundo, arrested in US on human trafficking charges

Mexico prepares for make-or-break tariff meeting

Mexican officials will meet with US Vice President on Wednesday as they try to avert tariffs on all Mexican imports.

Indian mission to retrieve bodies of climbers aborted

In India, efforts are on to retrieve the bodies of five climbers believed to have been killed in an avalanche in the Himalayas last week. 


This has been one of the deadliest climbing seasons in the Himalayas. More than 20 people have been killed in the mountains, including 11 on Mount Everest, the world's highest peak.

Uganda Landslide

SUDAN ATTACK DEATH TOLL INCREASES

Danes vote in national election

Polls are open in Denmark [until 18GMT] with the center-left social democrats predicted to return to power after taking a harder line on immigration in the run up to the vote.

TRUMP JOINS D-DAY COMMEMORATIONS

US President Donald Trump is joining Britain's Queen and other dignitaries in the city of Portsmouth for D-Day commemorations.

Events are being held to mark the 75th anniversary of the landings in France which were the most biggest naval, air, and land operation ever.

All countries that fought alongside the UK on 6th June 1944 are being represented in the southern English city.

On Thursday commemorations will continue in northern France.
