China Orders Probe into Gene-Altered Babies Experiment


China's National Health Commission has ordered an investigation into an experiment involving gene-altered babies.

There's been widespread criticism among scientists following reports of the experiment, led by an associate professor from the Southern University of Science and Technology.

US Calls on Russia to Stop "Unlawful Conduct"

The United States has accused Russia of taking “outlaw actions” against Ukrainian ships.  
The Ukrainian navy says Russian ships fired on and seized three of its artillery ships on Sunday.

Mexico will deport group of migrants that tried to rush US-Mexico border

Ukraine imposes martial law after confrontation with Russia

British academic Matthew Hedges released from UAE jail


British academic Matthew Hedges has been released from prison in the United Arab Emirates, where he was detained on spying charges.


The UAE offered a pardon, but a spokesperson for Mr Hedges said he was 100% not a secret service operative.

Former conjoined Bhutanese twins Nima and Dawa have left a Melbourne hospital as individual "cheeky" girls, weeks after life-changing surgery to separate them.

Indian police struggle to retrieve body of killed American missionary

A police team has been trying to explore ways to retrieve the body of American missionary John Allen Chau who was killed by a protected tribe in India's North Sentinel island.

Tear gas fired, US border crossing closed after migrants storm past Mexican riot police

New report by U.S. gov't scientists warns of climate change risks
