After talking to Russia investigators, President Trump's top White House lawyer to leave administration

President Trump's top White House lawyer will leave the administration later this year, the President has announced on Twitter.


Don McGahn was recently reported to have spent more than 30 hours briefing investigators who are probing ties between the President's campaign and Russia.

Russia's Putin attempts to sell unpopular pension reforms


Russia's President Vladimir Putin has given a televised address to try to persuade his people to accept unpopular pension reforms which have affected his personal popularity. He announced some changes to the proposed legislation, which will now mean the retirement age is raised by five years for both men and women. Moscow Correspondent Lucy Taylor reports.

Myanmar reject UN report

Myanmar has dismissed a report released by the United Nations that
calls for the country's top generals to be tried on charges of
genocide.

It's the first time such a recommendation has been made by the world
body but officials in Myanmar call it a false allegation.

US Economy Hums in Second Quarter, Revised GDP at 4.2%

The US economy grew at the faster pace in more than three years in the second quarter of this year.

French and British fishing boats clash in English Channel

British fishermen are calling for UK naval protection against French rivals who've been accused of aggressive behaviour int the English Channel.

The United States says it will end its suspension of military drills on the Korean peninsula.

Man arrested for allegedly plotting to kill Indian Prime Minister

Police in India have arrested a Maoist leader in the city of Hyderabad for his alleged involvement in a plot to assassinate Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
