UN Debates Syria Chemical Weapons Action

The United Nations is considering a resolution to allow humanitarian access and an investigation  at the site of an alleged chemical weapons attack in Syria.

Diplomats are negotiating revisions to a proposal which is facing resistance from Russia.

Moscow maintains that there was no chemical weapons attack at the site in a Damascus suburb on Saturday.

UK warns that 'Russia must be held to account' if behind Syria attack

The British Prime Minister Theresa May says that Syria and Russia must be held to account if they are found to have been behind the chemical weapons attack that happened in Eastern Ghouta. She was talking to reporters during a visit to Denmark, as Dan Ashby reports.

Bill Cosby starts sex assault retrial

American comedian Bill Cosby returns to court for a retrial of charges
he drugged and sexually assaulted a woman in 2004.

The prosecution aims to call another five women, with similar claims,
to testify against the 80-year-old entertainer.

UPDATE - Van attacker was a German citizen

A man drove a van into a crowd of people in the German city of Muenster killing at least three people, before  shooting himself.

Local authorities have now said that the man was a German citizen.

Trade tensions mount between US and China
