US denies targeting Syrian airfield with missile strike

The US is denying that it's carried out airstrikes on Syria.

But several people were killed or injured when missiles rained down on a Syrian air base near the city of Homs in the east of the country.

Trump says "Animal Assad" has "big price to pay" over chemical attack

UPDATE - Van attacker was a German citizen

A man drove a van into a crowd of people in the German city of Muenster killing at least three people, before  shooting himself.

Local authorities have now said that the man was a German citizen.

Trade tensions mount between US and China

Ex-Catalonian leader released from German jail

Fears of trade war increase after another threat of more tariffs against China by President Trump

UK blasts Russia's UN spy meeting

The UK has labelled Russia's request for a UN Security Council meeting
to discuss the spy poisoning investigation an attempt at "obfuscation
and contempt for international institutions".

The Council is due to discuss the latest details of last month's
poisoning of former Russian spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter in the
