Pres. Trump promises cooperation as investigations expand

U.S. President Donald Trump is promising his administration is working with the special counsel while insisting there's nothing for Robert Mueller to investigation.

FBI investigators raided the home of Paul Manafort, Donald Trump's campaign manager, looking for more evidence on warrants approved by a federal judge.

Trump draws red line in sands of Guam

US President Donald Trump says that if North Korea attacks Guam, he will respond with military force.


In fresh comments, he said his threat earlier this week to bring "fire and fury" to the Korean Peninsula may not have been tough enough.

Pres. Trump thanks Pres. Putin for expelling diplomats

U.S. President Donald Trump stunned many by thanking Russian President Vladimir Putin, who has called for 755 employees of the U.S. Embassy in Moscow to leave.

U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has said he'll address the issue by September 1.

It's tied to the U.S. confiscation of two Russian vacation properties in the U.S.

At his golf club in New Jersey, President Trump said he has no problems with the staff reductions.

White House Adviser Gorka suggests action against North Korea

Trump adviser Sebastian Gorka is promising the Trump administration will act againts North Korea, suggesting that the diplomats should keep to talking.

He made his comments before U.S. President Donald Trump came out at his golf club in New Jersey to say that his 'fire and fury' statement targeting North Korean threats wasn't strong enough.

In an interview with BBC Radio, Sebastian Gorka said U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has no place in commenting on possible military options, he should focus on diplomacy.

US State Dept Says N. Korea Pressure Campaign Will Take Time

The US State Department says the pressure campaign aimed at cutting North Korea's foreign funds will take time to impact the country's nuclear policy.

State Department Spokesperson Heather Nauert's comments demonstrate a sharp  difference in tone to that of the US  President.

Donald  Trump says his earlier comments warning the North of "fire and fury" were not strong enough.

Nauert says the new UN Security Council sanctions will not have an immediate impact.

Contaminated egg scandal spreads to the UK

Supermarkets in the UK have withdrawn a number of products after it emerged hundreds of thousands of potentially contaminated eggs were sent to Britain from Dutch farms.

Russian spy-plane flies over U.S. Capital

The nation's capital had an unusual visitor in the form of an unarmed Russian spy plane flying over Washington, DC on Wednesday.  

The low-altitude flight was allowed as part of the Treaty on Open Skies to conduct surveillance flights over military sites.

Syrian forces make advances in Raqqa

The Syrian Defence Force continues to advance, retaking Raqqa from the Islamic State.

The center of the city is surrounded, but the leader of Kurdish support troops says he expects a long slow battle to finally retake the entire city, similar to the work against the Islamic State in Mosul Iraq.

US confirms issues at Cuban embassy

At least eight American diplomats returned home from their assignments to the U.S. embassy in Cuba due to medical issues, with CBS News reporting, their hearing was affected by some sort of covert sonic device.

The Cuban government is rejecting the allegations, saying they would never allow anything to happen to diplomats serving in their country, but two Cuban diplomats left Washington as part of the response.

U.S. State Department spokes person Heather Nauert confirmed that something happened to the American diplomats in Havana, but could not confirm details.

Modern Slavery in UK 'More Prevalent' than previously thought

An investigation by the UK's National Crime Agency has suggested that modern slavery and trafficking in the country is a bigger issue than previously thought.
