White House reviewing travel ban ruling

The Trump administration is reviewing the ruling by the Ninth U.S. Federal Court of Appeals to continue to block the president's executive order severely limiting immigration. 

The U.S. Supreme Court is accepting (has accepted) filings and arguments on a separate but related ruling by the Fourth circuit court.

White House press secretary Sean Spicer insists the travel ban is still legal, but they are reviewing the latest rulings.

Trump Admin Loses Another Court Ruling on Revised Travel Ban

President Trump has lost another appeals court ruling on his travel ban. The decision, from the United State Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit is the latest in a string of court rulings rejecting his administration's efforts to limit travel from several predominantly Muslim countries.

US firm warns of malware designed to wreck havoc on power grids

A US cybersecurity firm has warned of a cyber weapon with the potential to cause major disruptions to electric grids around the world. 

Washington DC-based Dragos believe the people behind last December's attack on a Ukrainian electric grid could repurpose the malware to disrupt grids in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and North America.

DC, MD fear Pres. Trump putting himself first

The state of Maryland and the District of Columbia are suing U.S President Donald Trump for violating the emoluments clause of the U.S. Constitution.

They fear the American president is putting business interests ahead of national interests.

Both attorneys general are Democrats and President Trump has repeatedly said Democrats are nothing but obstructionists.

US Congressman-elect to plead guilty to assaulting reporter

A Congress-man elect in the US state of Montana will plead guilty to having assaulted a journalist for the British paper the Guardian.

Greg Gianforte already issued an apology and arrived at a settlement with the reporter, Ben Jacobs, which includes a pledge to donate 50-thousand dollars to the Committee to Protect Journalist

Pentagon: no official reports of civilian casualties in Afghanistan roadside bomb incident


The Pentagon says it has received no official reports of any civilian casualties after a roadside bomb attack in Afghanistan.

US troops opened fire after their vehicle was hit on Monday in Nangarhar province, with local officials reporting at least three civilian casualties.

U.S. Prosecutor axed after refusing Trump call

A leading prosecutor in the United States claims he was fired after
refusing a call from President Donald Trump.

Preet Bharara was the top federal prosecutor in Manhattan and says

German authorities release British men after emergency plane landing

German authorities released three British men, who were detained after fellow passengers on a flight were concerned that they could be terrorists.
