US jobs data in focus in week ahead

US jobs data is expected to show fewer new jobs were created over the last month, while the unemployment rate held steady.

Oil prices should begin to see less volatility after a week of turbulence following news from the OPEC oil-producing countries.

WHO confirms first three Zika cases in India

Zika virus disease has reached India, with the first three cases being reported in the India state of Gujarat.

One among those affected is a pregnant woman. The Indian Health Ministry has set-up a task force to contain the spread of the virus.

Ariana Grande plans return to Manchester for benefit concert

US delivers high endurance cutter to Vietnamese Coast Guard in Honolulu

The United States Coast Guard has transferred a high endurance cutter to its Vietnamese counterpart in Honolulu, as part of a move to foster closer ties with the Southeast Asian nation. 


The transfer comes ahead of a visit by Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc to the US, and follows a recent delivery of six patrol boats to the Vietnamese Coast Guard.

UN condemns attack on Egyptian Christians

The United Nations has condemned the attack on a bus carrying Coptic
Christians to a monastery in central Egypt, in which at least 28

China reacts angrily after US warship conducts maneuver within 12 miles of island in South China Sea


American officials say a US Navy warship sailed within 12 miles of an artificial island in the South China Sea on Thursday,

A move designed to send a message to Beijing about its territorial claims over surrounding waters.

China has developed Mischief Island along with a series of reefs and shoals in recent years to back up its territorial claims over the sea.

U.S. GDP revised up to 1.2%

The United States economy grew at a faster pace than initially thought
in the first quarter of this year.

During the Presidential campaign Donald Trump vowed to lift U.S. gross
domestic product up towards 4% under his watch.

UK Opposition Leader Criticised Over 'War on Terror' Comments
