American killed, another injured in London attack

The U.S. State Department has confirmed American Kurt Cochran of Utah was killed in the attack at Westminster in London.

His wife was injured.

Scotland Yard has identified 52-year-old Khalid Masood, a British citizen, as the perpetrator and a person who had been previously investigated for possible ties to violente extremeism.

Chile's Supreme Court jails former intelligence agents for torture

Chile's Supreme Court has condemns 33 former intelligence agents who served under the regime of Augusto Pinochet for kidnapping and torturing five Communist Party militants in 1987.

Major US Tech Companies Reported as Victims of $100 Million Email Fraud

US prosecutors have charged a Lithuanian man with defrauding two US based companies out of more than 100 million dollars. Officials say he engaged in a growing type of fraud using emails targeted at companies that work with foreign suppliers or regularly make wire transfers.

400,000 Iraqi Civilians Trapped In Mosul

The United Nations Refugee Agency says around 400,000 civilians are trapped in the old city of western Mosul, which is still held by the so-called Islamic State group, amid an Iraqi offensive to retake it.

The UN says many people there fear fleeing the city because of snipers and landmines, but are running short of food and basic necessities.

The U.S. State Department is urging increased scrutiny for U.S. visa
applicants, especially of their social media accounts.

Reuters obtained four cables with instructions from U.S. Secretary of
State Tillerson on how the limits on immigration would be implemented
under the controversial and currently blocked executive orders.

Metropolitan Police name suspected London attacker



London police have named the man suspected of carrying out the terror attack near the UK Parliament as 52 year old Khaleed Masood.


British-born Masood had been known to MI5, but was described as being on the periphery of police investigations.

Black man murdered in New York by white US veteran in suspected hate crime

Trump officials may have coordinated with Russians - CNN
