British Peer's daughter apparent victim of Philippines war on drugs

The daughter of a British Baron has been killed in the Philippines in a murder which appears to be connected with the country's war on drugs. 

The body of 45 year old Maria Aurora Moynihan, who held duel citizenship,  was found next to a sign written in english and a local language which referred to her as a "drug pusher to celebrities".    From London, Catherine Drew reports.

Fire Sweeps Through Greek Refugee Camp

Thousands of refugees and migrants are returning to a refugee camp on the Greek Island of Lesbos.

They were forced out by a fire that engulfed part of the camp Monday night.

ARRESTS AFTER 'MASS BRAWL' IN LONDON

Seven people have been arrested after a mass brawl broke out in London which reportedly involved as many as 100 schoolchildren.

Police were called out to a 'large fight' in Erith (PRO: EAR-RITH), which is in the south-east of the British capital.

Two people received hospital treatment for injuries police say aren't life threatening.

Moscow says ceasefire agreement in jeopardy after strikes

Russia and the US are to hold further talks on the Syrian situation in New York on Tuesday, according to the state department.  It comes after the military in Syria declared the current cessation of hostilities was over.  Moscow has criticised Washington after more than 80 Syrian soldiers were killed in airstrikes by the US-lead coalition. Minnesota Mall Attacker Identified By Father

A knife-man who stabbed ten people at a Minnesota shopping mall over
the weekend has been identified by his father as a 22-year-old
student. Dahir A. Adan is a Kenyan-born ethnic Somali who had been in
the US for 15 years, and allegedly carried out the attack on behalf of
ISIS.

New York bombings: Ahmad Khan Rahami charged with attempted murder

The man suspected of carrying out Saturday's bombing in the Chelsea district of New York has been captured and charged with five counts of attempted murder of a law enforcement officer.

The New Jersey prosecutor's office has also charged Ahmad Khan Rahami with unlawful possession of a weapon.

Last UN General Assembly For Ban Ki Moon

World leaders are gathering in New York for the annual United Nations General Assembly which takes place all this week.

It'll be the final time that Barack Obama attends as US President - and he's speaking to the gathering on Tuesday.

But it'll also be the last occasion that another leader takes part - Ban Ki Moon, the UN Secretary General, who ends his term on 31st December this year.

The process to choose his successor is well underway, but what kind of legacy has Mr. Ban left at the UN?

Police arrest suspect in New York blast

The suspect in the New York bombing has been arrested following a shoot out with police in which two officers were hurt.

Afghan immigrant Ahmad Khan Rahami is being questioned in connection with Saturday's blast in Manhattan that injured 29 people.

Obama responds, while NYC terror suspect taken into custody

An Afghan-born suspect, believed to be behind Saturday night's explosion in Manhattan which injured 29 people, has been taken into custody after he was shot by police.

The arrest in New Jersey came after millions of residents received a cell phone alert from police, telling them to look out for 28 year old Ahmad Khan Rahami, who was " armed and dangerous'.

His arrest came moments before US President Barack Obama responded to the terror attacks at the weekend in New Jersey, Minnesota and New York.

The president spoke on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York, where the terror attacks are likely to complicate his hosting of an international summit on refugees.
