Donald Trump calls for 'extreme vetting' of immigrants to US

Donald Trump says the United States will undertake "extreme" immigration vetting if he's elected President.

In a major policy speech outlining policies to fight "radical Islamic terrorism", Mr Trump said the US would "end nation building" and hold an international conference on combatting terrorism.

Venezuelans Swarm Border Crossing

Tens of thousands of Venezuelans have walked across the border to Colombia every day since Saturday.

NYC police question man over Imam slaying

New York City police are questioning a man over the shooting death of a Muslim cleric and his assistant as they were leaving afternoon prayers at a Mosque in Queens on Saturday.


Police say the man has been detained on unrelated circumstances but conflicting reports from local media said he was a suspect.

US Confirms Ground Combat in Somalia on August 10th

Zambia's President re-elected

Corsica town bans burkinis after fight on beach

A village in Corsica has become the latest French town to ban the full body burkini - after a fight broke out on the beach at the weekend between Muslim families and local teenagers.

Extra police during London's night tube service

100 extra police officers in London will be on patrol in the British capital on weekends, as the night tube transport system prepares to launch on Friday.


London's underground system will run through the night on Fridays and Saturdays from the 19th, but there are concerns about safety on the transport system.

British woman's ex-husband arrested as honour killing suspect

A 28 year old British woman who died in Punjab last month is believed to have been killed by her ex husband, according to police.


Samia Shahid's death is thought to have been an honour killing because her family disapproved of her second marriage.

Five members of Britain's Labour Party drop legal challenge
