UK Chancellor Delivers Budget

The British Chancellor, George Osborne, has announced his eighth Budget.


In it, ha has set out plans to cut public spending and invest in infrastructure.


There were stark warnings however of external factors which are likely to have an impact, such as turbulence in financial markets and a slowdown in China.


However, Mr Osborne ensured that Britain would be prepared

US to keep Russia under sanctions until Ukraine regains Crimea

US State Department reaffirmed it will keep sanctions introduced against Russia after it annexed the Ukrainian peninsula of Crimea until Ukraine regains control over the "occupied" territory. UK Government says no plans to send troops to Libya

The British Government has denied that it is planning to deploy UK troops to Libya to provide security for the country's newly appointed unity government.


It comes after reports that the UK had been preparing to send around 1,000 military personnel as part of an international force.

Man killed in Brussels terror raids named by Belgian prosector

The man shot by Belgian police during anti-terror raids has been identified as an Algerian illegally living in Belgium.
 
36 year old Mohamed Belkahid (Bell-key-ad) was killed following a shootout in Brussels on Tuesday.

LSE, DEUTSCHE BOERSE AGREE MERGER

The London Stock Exchange Group and Deutsche Boerse are to merge to create one of the largest exchange companies in the world.

Hillary Clinton has won the US Democratic primaries in two key states, Ohio and Florida.

The former Secretary of State beat her rival, Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, by clear margins in both contests on Tuesday.  

Mr. Sanders had hoped to pull off an upset in Ohio, which is close to Michigan where he unexpectedly beat Mrs. Clinton last week.

5 US States Go To the Polls in 'Little Super Tuesday'

Voters in 5 US states have been casting ballots this Tuesday as the race to decide who will run for the White House reaches a crucial point.

Republicans and Democrats in Florida, Illinois, Missouri, North Carolina and Ohio have all been going to the polls, with Donald Trump hoping for a clean sweep that would put his nomination beyond doubt. 

Hillary Clinton's also hoping to strengthen her lead over Bernie Sanders on the Democratic side. 

And speaking in North Carolina, the former Secretary of State said she's ready to take on Donald Trump too:

Update: Brussels Police Search Winding Down

Belgian media outlets are reporting the intense police search for suspects following a shootout is now winding down.

The exchange of gunfire erupted as Belgian and French police were carrying out an anti-terror raid just outside of Brussels connected to last years Paris attacks.
