LITVINENKO REPORT DUE

A public inquiry into the killing of former Russian spy Alexander Litvinenko is releasing its findings (on Thursday).

The report is expected to conclude whether elements of the Russian state were involved in his murder.

Two Russian men have denied killing him.

Alexander Litvinenko was poisoned in London in 2006 - with radioactive polonium 210 thought to have been ingested in a cup of tea.

American Airlines hit with racial discrimination lawsuit

4 New York residents of South Asian and Arab descent are filing a 9
million dollar federal lawsuit
against American Airlines for racial discrimination.

The claimants say they were removed from a flight and told that the
crew were uneasy with their appearance.

Researchers Report Evidence of Ninth Planet

Researchers at the California Institute of Technology are reporting evidence of a giant planet in the far reaches of the solar system. 
If confirmed, this would be the solar system’s ninth planet….an honor given to Pluto until it was demoted to dwarf planet status 10 years ago.

Wall St retreats as oil plummets

Global markets tumbled on Wednesday as concerns over China's economy
and plummeting oil prices pushed shares lower.

UN condemn Pakistan attack

The United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has condemned the
attack on a university in Pakistan which killed at least 19 people.

A Pakistani Taliban commander has claimed responsibility but the

Deadly suicide bomb attack near Russian embassy in Kabul

UK unemployment falls to 10 year low

Official figures show the number of people out of work in the UK has fallen to its lowest level in more than ten years...

Report: German deportations almost doubled last year
