Iran Releases American Sailors

Iran has released ten U.S. sailors Wednesday after detaining them overnight for allegedly entering Iranian territorial waters by mistake. The incident comes days ahead of the expected implementation of a nuclear deal between Tehran and world powers.

Lego ends restrictions on bulk buying after pressure following Ai Weiwei dispute

Danish toymaker Lego is ending limitations on large orders of its product after coming under fire for preventing the artist Ai Weiwei from purchasing thousands of bricks.

Russian Foreign Ministry confirms detention of 3 Russians in Turkey

German Interior Minister visits Istanbul blast site

Germany's Interior Minister visited the site of a suicide bomb in Istanbul that killed ten German citizens. 

The Turkish government has accused ISIS of planning the attack on the city's main tourist district.

Hackers take down Thai websites to protest verdicts over tourists murders

The international hacking group Anonymous claims to have attacked websites operated by the Thai government to protest the death sentences given to two migrant workers found guilty of the murder of two British tourists. 

This is the second time the group of cyber activists have attacked Thai websites as Catherine Drew reports from London.

German victims of Istanbul blast were on package holiday

Denmark to confiscate refugees' valuables to pay for housing costs

The Danish Parliament is expected to pass a law on Wednesday that will severely limit the rights of refugees - and force them to hand over valuables to pay for their accommodation.

Obama makes his final State of the Union address

US President Barack Obama has defended his legacy while striking an optimistic tone for the future in his final State of the Union address.

Speaking before the US congress he pushed back against the negative tone of the current presidential race, arguing the US has the "strongest economy in the world".

He highlighted his achievements such health reform and reopening diplomatic relations with Cuba in a bid to cement his legacy.

He took aim at Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump who has been criticised for his comments about Muslims and immigrants.

US regulators reject VW diesel car fix

US regulators have rejected Volkswagen's proposed fix for most of the vehicles involved in its emissions scandal.
