UK Prime Minister marks 10 years as Conservative leader

The British Prime Minister David Cameron has reached the 10 year milestone as leader of the governing Conservative Party...

Any celebrations are expected to be low key - with the Prime Minister occupied by military air strikes in Syria and Iraq and a looming referendum on the UK's EU future.

Met police say London stabbings a "terrorist incident"

Police in London say they are treating a stabbing at an Underground station on Saturday night as a "terrorist incident"...

Officers were called after receiving reports of a man threatening people with a knife - one man sustained serious knife injuries.

US Air Force Operations in IS Territory Depleting Weaponry

According to figures obtained by the USA Today newspaper, the US Air
Force needs to restock its supply of missiles and bombs, after 20,000
of them have been launched on IS territory in Iraq and Syria.

A new line of orders from the US Defense Department takes hold this month.

FBI confirms California terrorism investigation

The FBI is confirming they have opened a full investigation that attacks in San Bernardino California may have been terrorism.

The FBI director says they are combing through a mountain of electronic data and a lot of it doesn't make sense yet.

Director James Comey confirmed the Federal Bureau of Investigations had taken the lead:

The FBI has declared that the mass shooting at a San Bernardino government building is now being treated as an act of terrorism.

Officials are also looking at whether the female assailant Tashfeen Malik may have declared allegiance to the Islamic State group on Facebook at the time.

Wielding an assault rifle, she and her husband Syed Rizwan Farook killed 14 and injured 21.

San Bernardino Attacker Linked to ISIS

American officials have leaked information suggesting that the female attacker in San Bernardino pledged allegiance to ISIS on Facebook.

They say 27 year old Tashfeen Malik pledged support to the Islamic State group's leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi before or during that assault which left 14 dead.

They also say that her husband Syed Rizwan Farook appears to have communicated with foreign militants and individuals in nearby Los Angeles.

But White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest is holding back from any official attribution of motive for now.

Ecuador aproves unlimited presidential terms

Protestors took to the streets in Ecuador's capital Quito, after legislators passed a bill that will allow the president and other officials to be re-elected for indefinite number of terms.

San Bernardino Attackers Links to Terrorism Being Explored

US officials now think the female assailant in the attack in San Bernardino pledged allegiance to the leader of the Islamic State group.

Investigative officials have told media outlets that they found a message posted up by Pakistani born Tashfeen Malik.

She acted alongside her husband Syed Rizwan Farook, using assault rifles to kill 14 of his work colleagues at a holiday party, injuring 21 others, before being shot dead after a police chase.

The FBI has so far declared no motive, but our Washington Correspondent Daniel Ryntjes says evidence is mounting that this was terrorist inspired.

Blair Warns of Larger Attacks from Islamic State Group

Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair is warning of larger terrorist attacks than in Paris, if the international community doesn't unify its response to the Islamic State group.

Blair recently apologized for mistakes in planning the invasion of Iraq in 2003 while he was in office, which he said had contributed to the rise of the Islamic State group.

US economy adds 211,000 new jobs in November


The US Labour Department has released its monthly jobs report for November, which showed that 211,000 new positions were added - above economists' expectations.

The numbers clear the way for the US Federal Reserve to raise interest rates later this month, for the first time in nearly a decade.
