Britons have been voting in a general election pollsters haven't been able to call.

Forecasts suggest the UK is set for another hung parliament, and possibly complicated coalition government negotiations.

Saudi Arabia Agrees To Yemen Ceasefire

Saudi Arabia has agreed to a five day ceasefire in Yemen, after appeals from US Secretary of State John Kerry during talks in Riyadh. 

The pledge is a boost for Mr. Kerry's efforts to expand humanitarian aid in Yemen, where a Saudi-led coalition has been carrying out airstrikes since the end of March, after rebels ousted the country's president.

Britons go to the polls

Britons are voting in one of the tightest general elections in decades.

Polls suggest neither the Conservative Party of Prime Minister David Cameron, nor opposition Labour's Ed Miliband will win a parliamentary majority.

That raises the prospect of complicated coalition negotiations come Friday.

Scottish Nationalists the SNP may play an important role with the party expected to win a swathe of Scotland's Westminster seats.

Russian police detain protesters in central Moscow

Russian police have detained protesters in central Moscow who were trying to rally in support of people arrested three years ago in protests against Vladimir Putin's return to the Russian Presidency for the third time.


The commemorative rally had been banned by Moscow authorities.

Deflategate: NFL Report Says It's Probable Patriots Personnel Deliberately Deflated Balls

The U.S. National Football League has found it is probable personnel from the New England Patriots football team  deliberately deflated balls during a championship game against the Indianapolis Colts that determined who would play in the Super Bowl.

The scandal has come to be known as “Deflategate.”

Record 38 million people internally displaced by conflict and violence in 2014 - report

Conflict and violence in 2014 displaced a record-breaking 38 million people within their own countries, according to a new report from the Geneva-based Internal Displacement Monitoring Center, or IDMC.


That marks a fourteen percent increased from the prior year.

White House hails positive step as ferries get green light to sail from US to Cuba

Americans will soon be able to sail the 90-mile stretch from the US to Cuba.

The US government has issued licences to at least two ferry companies allowing them to operate between Miami and Havana.

The lifting of the ban on sea transport between the two countries comes as the Obama administration continues to rebuild relations with the island.

BRITAIN TO VOTE IN KNIFE EDGE ELECTION

Britain votes later (Thursday - polls open at 7am BST) in a general election too close to call.

David Cameron's Conservatives and the opposition Labour Party led by Ed Miliband have remained neck and neck in most polls for weeks.

If there is another hung parliament both men may have a chance to try and put together a coalition government.

Alternatively, one of the parties may attempt to govern in minority - raising the chances of another election this year.

All eyes remain on the Scottish Nationalists, the SNP, who are expected to win a swathe of Westminster seats.

Texas Governor under fire for ordering State Guard to monitor federal army

The governor of Texas is coming under increasing criticism – including from his predecessor Rick Perry - for ordering the Texas State Guard to monitor federal military exercises.

The training exercises have riled conspiracy theorists who fear they could lead the government to implement martial law or confiscate guns from citizens.

Hot Chocolate's Errol Brown dies, aged 71

Errol Brown, the lead singer of the 1970s supergroup "Hot Chocolate" has died at his home in the Bahamas at the age of 71.

He'd been battling liver cancer.

"Hot Chocolate" enjoyed worldwide success with a string of hits including "You Sexy Beast" and "Everyone's a Winner".

The band made its farewell tour in 2009, and at the time Errol Brown told Scottish Television that it was emotional saying goodbye to his fans.

News Corp profits falls 52%

Rupert Murdoch's media group News Corp has seen profits fall 52% in
the last quarter.

The parent company of the Wall Street Journal and The Times lost money
from the phone-hacking scandal in the UK and falling advertising
revenue.

Nine in ten Democrats think US ready for female president - poll

Nine out of ten Democrat voters think America is ready for a female president, and that candidate should be Hillary Clinton.

Final day of campaigning ahead of UK elections

It's the last minute dash for political party leaders to win over voters in the UK, ahead of the country's General Election on Thursday.

German wings co-pilot 'practiced' raid descent on previous flight before crashing plane into the French Alps

The co-pilot who is accused of intentionally crashing a germanwings plane into the french alps killing the 150 people on board, may have practiced for the disaster on a previous flight.

Andreas Lubitz set the plane to prepare for an unauthroried, rapid descent earlier in the day of the tragedy according to French investigators.

Ferry Service Approved To Run Between US and Cuba

Americans will soon be able to set sail from Miami to the Cuban capital Havana, after the US Treasury Department issued licences to at least two ferry companies allowing them to operate between the two ports.

The lifting of the ban on ferries between the US and Cuba comes as President Obama works to thaw relations with Havana.
