US State Dept. confirms Clinton emails public after review

The U.S. State Department has confirmed, the 55,000 emails from former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's private email account will be made public after a review process.

The U.S. State Department is reviewing the emails as a paper process under the FOIA statute - the Freedom of Information Act.

U.S. State Department spokesperson Jen Psaki says the emails will be made public, but she does not know when.

US Diplomat Samantha Power Warns Of EU Defense Cuts

Venezuela fights back after US sanctions

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has denounced recent sanctions by the US and said they are an attempt to topple his government.

Wikipedia files lawsuit against US spy agency

The organization behind the popular website Wikipedia is taking the US government to court  over allegations that it's spying on users.

The lawsuit claims that mass surveillance of internet traffic by America's National Security Agency - or NSA - violates the US constitution.

EU backs credit card charges cap

The European Parliament has voted to back a cap on credit and debit card fees for customers in Europe. 

Supporters of a new EU-wide ceiling for charges say it eliminates a current lack of transparency and will save customers billions of euros in fees which retailers typically price into products and services.

Crufts downplays reports of other dogs being poisoned

The organisers of the Crufts dog show have vowed to take action against anyone trying to sabotage a dog's performance.   This follows the death of Jagger, an Irish setter who died at his home in Belgian 24 hours after leaving the event.   

The Kennel Club which organises Crufts, the worlds biggest dog show,  have downplayed reports that a further five dogs may have been poisoned, saying at present they were just rumours.  From London, Catherine Drew reports.

Britain's Foreign Secretary is calling for a beefing up of security services - partly in response to an increased threat from Russia.

FRENCH ATHLETES DIE IN HELICOPTER CRASH

Three French athletes have been killed along with seven other people in a helicopter crash in Argentina.

Eight French nationals and two Argentine pilots died after a collision between two helicopters in the north west of the country.

The helicopters and passengers were involved in the filming of a reality TV survival show.

French President Francois Hollande has expressed his shock at the loss of French nationals including the sports personalities, who were well known in France.

Australian sheik dumped from Twitter - again.

Australian Self-proclaimed Islamic sheik Junaid Thorne has had his Twitter account suspended for a third time.

Clinton team mulling press conference

Obama Accuses Republicans of Siding with Iran Hardliners
