US government drops tax claims against Trump as part of IRS lawsuit deal
The U.S. government has agreed to permanently drop tax claims against President Donald Trump as part of a deal to resolve his $10 billion lawsuit against the Internal Revenue Service over the leak of his tax returns. It could hield the president from further examination of his finances and legal conduct.The settlement also creates a fund of nearly $1.8 billion to compensate individuals who believe they were targeted politically.

US Justice Department drops criminal charges against Adani
