US Secretary of State Antony Blinken is back in Israel for the second
time in just a few weeks, where he is pushing for a "humanitarian
pause" to allow more aid into Gaza.
Blinken has met Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to reaffirm
US support for the country, but also to discuss doing more to protect
Palestinian civilians in Gaza.
Blinken says "concrete steps" must be taken to ensure those caught in
the crossfire are protected.
